There are a lot of conflicting information around the issue of leaky gut. But one thing we can agree on is, your health matters.

And it starts with eating healthy. So if you you suspect that you may have leaky gut, and you want to rebalance your gut microbiome…

Here are 3 Leaky Gut Diet Plans That Anyone Can Take For Good Gut Health

1. Paleo Diet

Also known as the caveman diet or the stone age diet. The idea here is to eat foods that our caveman ancestors ate.

And that includes natural and whole foods only. Because our bodies did not develop the ability to digest processed foods and dairy properly.

Which some because is the root cause of widespread disease today.

It is believed the wrong foods cause inflammation in the gut, which expands the gaps…

Causing the bad bacteria and toxic waste to leak into our blood stream.

Here’s what to eat

Here’s a pretty long list of foods you can eat raw if you go on the Paleo diet.

2. Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)

The SCD comes from Dr. Sidney Valentine Haas in the 1950s who used it to treat people suffering from Celiac disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

He helped one Elaine Gottschall’s sick daughter achieve a lasting remission of Ulcerative Colitis. Since then, she dedicated her life to research the exact diet. And coined the term Specific Carbohydrate Diet in her book.

Basically, she found that on the SCD diet you can only eat foods that are grain-free, sugar -free, starch-free, and unprocessed.

SCD “reboots” your digestive system and gut, and support your body’s health.

There is a website online that is dubbed the “Official List” of foods you can eat on the SCD diet.

(Go here to check out the full list)

But as a summary, it’s pretty similar to the Paleo diet, except you can consume dairy products. The only restrictions are on carbs.

3. Gut and Psychology Syndrome Diet (GAPS)

The GAPS diet is an intensified, expanded version of the SCD. Aimed to sooth and heal the gut lining, reduce inflammation, and reverse leaky gut.

Foods like bone broth, healthy fats, and even supplements are included in the GAPS diet.

While SCD focuses purely on foods, GAPS diet allows processed nutritional supplements like fermented cod liver oil. And this diet has helped people of all ages and conditions manage their gut health.

The creator of the GAPS diet, Dr. Campbell-McBride, claims that it can help people struggling with gut/brain issues like Autism, A.D.D., A.D.H.D., Dyspraxia, Depression/anxiety, Schizophrenia, and even allergies.

The official website has a wealth of information already. But if you want a specific diet plan and recipes: you may want to get the book by Dr. Campbell-McBride.
